,,Going as a leader, dying as a hero" and ,,Not even immortals can scape death forever"- Celestia, my storyline ( in other battle obviously and not in Equestra ) Leaving that aside, very good vector and I like it a lot ( you're very good at this btw ) tho she would look better if she also had a helmet.
What would you want? Her in full plate armour from head to hoof with a Bassinet helmet? Remember she is immortal and would need to fly if needs be. Having too much weight on her body could be a hindrance to her
I like how you gathered up her tail, so it's not in the way. Of course, it would also make sense to gather up the mane a little too, so that it isn't in the way either. I also LOVE her armor! It's AWESOME!
I do agree with you. I've studied a lot of armour from European history and any exposed skin in battle is a bad idea. But remember these are ponies. They have to be able to trot and gallop and in some cases fly. Too much armour could end up being constricting or too heavy.
Also as far as I can tell the Equestrian army is a show army, mainly for guard duty. Their more useless than a broken condom. Their armour is all for show to.
If I was to surmise, I'd say they would make their armour out of Brass or bronze as both these materials are fairly strong and light. Like you said, gold is a very dense material. More than people actually believe. Films like the Italian job (Micheal Caine version) as great as it is, does seem to fail on minis jumping roofs with a gold cargo. They would be too heavy in real life
What I really don't get is why the two of them alone were able to wield all 6 Elements... And if the opening narration of the first episode is to be believed, Celestia used all 6 of them on her own when she banished Luna to the moon... Which doesn't even begin to make sense.
I think Celestia didn´t use them in their 'proper' way but as magical enhancers.
After all, even Sunset Shimmer in the movie was able to use the magic inside Twilight´s Element of Harmony.
Maybe they possess some kind of magic on their own, but only their real bearer can set free their true powers. Celestia in the end may was able to banish her sister with the Elements´ powers, but only the true bearers could free her from Nightmare Moon.
Or maybe the six Elements represent her relation to her subjects, I don´t know...
Hmm... I guess two sisters were capable to use the elements together, becouse both of them were living in complete harmony, thus represented all of them together. After Luna's betrayal, Celestia lost the ability to control them, since she was no longer in complete harmony. Guilt, anger, dissapointment. How did Celestia managed to use elements on her own? Maybe she sacrificed some of her magic to actually break the rules and "strech out" this? something like one shot accident never to happen again? o.O I guess we'll never know...
